How to Join 4-H
And become a youth leader in
your community!
As a youth member, you'll have opportunities to learn new experiences using a hands-on approach, be challenged to use your mind and body and be encouraged to participate and work with others.
You'll find a sense of belonging, a place to voice your thoughts and meet a lot of new friends both younger and older! And it is FREE to all Jefferson County Youths.
4-H is the largest out of school youth organization in the United States with almost 7 million youth members. There are Extension staff responsible for 4-H programs in every state, county and city— your local 4-H is Jefferson County 4-H.
You can join 4-H if you are between the ages of 5-18. Some activities have special programs designed especially for youth of different ages. Check with your WSU Extension office to find out what projects and activities are available for youth your age. 4-H is flexible, so each county may be offering 4-H in additional creative ways. You can visit your WSU Extension office and learn about ways to do 4-H where you live.
